The purpose of the Department of Printmaking is to establish the identity of prints in contemporary art, cultivate related professionals, and foster print artists who will play a leading role in contemporary art based on creative artistic talent.
Our department is focused on establishing a new identity for contemporary prints. At the same time, we are extending the boundaries of modern printmaking through hands-on courses such as a Printmaking Workshop and Printmaking Production as well as theory courses like the History of Printing. The department aims to foster new print artists and contemporary artists who can revitalize the local printmaking community based on links between high technology and modern cultural industries.
