Prof. Sook Yeon Kim is teaching UX Design and Service Design at HongIk University, Industrial Design Department. Prior to join HongIk University, she started her career as a UX Designer from mid 2000’s at Google, Intuit in Silicon Valley, Microsoft Research Center in Cambridge Massachusetts. Focusing on Social Interaction and Service Design. She has been developed many IT solutions with Human-Centered Design approach. Moving forward, she has expanded her career to Education Service area. Joining University of Phoenix as a UX Design Lead in 2011. Launched New Education Service Platform in 2013 and developed more that 70 education service products under her UX Service Design directing. Her design research interests focusing on Social Interaction and Service Design. Based on her ethnographic research interests, she has been conducted many social innovation research that helped peoples’ lives better with technology services in the right context.
