The goal of the Department of Metal Art and Design is to study the basic physical properties of metals and to experiment forms and colors by using various metal materials, as well as to study designs that prioritize sophisticated structures and functions of the future.
After students learn the traditional method of metal modeling work, and develop new technologies and design, they learn to apply the results to a wide range of areas, ranging from products for personal use to public environment facilities and art works. In addition, the department focuses on active academic-industrial cooperation and field training to train students to become professional designers who will be able to contribute to society after graduation.
