The Department of Ceramics and Glass trains artists who will lead
the flow of 21st century contemporary figurative art with a breadth of
aesthetic knowledge and experience in ceramics and glass from the
traditional to the contemporary.
Ceramics
This four year course consists of a three studio curriculum
Ceramic Sculptures, Ceramic Crafts, and Ceramic Design all of which are
aligned with seminars and subjects such as CAD and media research. The
Research Centre for Ceramic Arts provides an extensive collection of
professional publications and data related to ceramics.
Glass
This course studies the art of glasswork through studio
classes practicing various techniques such as glass casting, slumping,
fusing using a kiln, as well as blowing and lampworking skills.
