The Industrial Design department helps to hone industrial designers who will identify emerging problems and envision future solutions so they can lead current industries and markets.
By extracting a deep understanding of the governance and influence of human experiences, the assertive future of our products, services, mobility, and spaces is brought about through this program.
The curriculum maintains three distinctive tracks in synthesizing our future. The product design approach maintains a versatile and creative approach, case by case, based on human centricity. The mobility design approach keeps its stance in industry standards, visions and brand requirements, but facilitates convergence from other fields of expertise. The spatial design approach sets up contextual layers of anthropology, cognitive science, philosophy and brand experience prior to designing. Though tracks enable students to funnel in from diverse points of views, the curriculum also allows students to combine and personalize their approaches in reaching their desired convergence of the future by mixing and matching the approaches of the tracks. At the baseline of all three track approaches, the Industrial Design curriculum has a common foundation in understanding user experience, planning service models, and managing storytelling.
